Community Service Project: Cookies for Community Helpers

Today, we got together with members of our local homeschool group and visited various places in our community that serve us: the library, the fire department, the garrison commander, and so on. The kids all baked cookies and made thank you cards to honor them, and we walked around the post delivering cookies and smiles.

The kids were well-received. We got some education about what these community helpers do. And then we played.
